The regular classical melody flooded throughout the nursery-like room. A small form shifted on the teddy-bear infested and lace covered bed. Chelsea forced herself into a sitting position. She counted the stuffed animals that surrounded her—twenty nine. A scowl formed across her face.

"SEBASTIAN!" She screeched. A bird that was perched on a branch outside the window fell to its death; a glass toy shelf cracked sending eight baby puppy dolls straight down the floor.

The door slowly cracked open and an aged man with fine wrinkles and short gray hair appeared looking completely unfazed by the screeching . He was in uniform, which consisted of a suit and tie, as he adjusted his thin silver glasses before speaking. "Yes, Miss?"

Her cheeks puffed out as she pouted. "Where is Mr. Puffy-Bottom?"

"He has been re-located to the toy room."

"Why? I want him here!" She folded her arms to help make her point.

Sebastian sighed but he didn't show any other signs of distress. "Mr. Puffy-Bottom is this year's oldest toy." No reaction from Chelsea. "Miss, do you remember what day it is?" He sighed again and shook his head. He took another step into the room. "Today is your birthday miss. Your oldest toy always goes into the play room on your birthday."

The pout faded from her face. It was replaced by confusion. "M-my birthday..?" She placed a finger to her chin. How could that be? She always counted the days to her birthday.

"Not just any birthday. Your tenth birthday..?"

Chelsea blinked blankly. Gradually a huge smile spread across her lips. She covered her mouth as she giggled and flailed her legs. "Oh, Thank-you Sebastian! How could I forget the most bestest day ever!"

He ran a hand through his white hair allowing a smile to crinkle around his blue eyes. "The best day ever." He corrected her.

"Don't correct me, Sebastian!" she ordered, but the smile in her eyes prevented her from looking convincing.

He chuckled as he backed out the door. "Why don't you get dressed, Miss? I'll be waiting downstairs." With that he shut the door leaving Chelsea alone.

When she was sure he was out of earshot, she broke into a second giggle fit. After fighting her way through her bed cluttered with toys, she jumped unto the plush carpet and pranced to her walk-in closet—which was the size of a regular person's bedroom.

It took her quite a while to browse through all the lace and frills before she decided on her purple and white dress. She skipped over to her mirror and viewed herself as she adjusted her hair to perfection. Before exiting her room, she picked up a plush Torchic doll from her vanity and smirked to herself. After viewing all the options of, poise and strength, she decided that Torchic would be the best starter Pokémon.

Smiling widely, she burst through the door and slid down the stair rail to the kitchen.

She wasn't all that surprised by the party taking place. It was decorated with lace and ribbons; a large banner hung that read "Happy Birthday Chelsea!"

"My, oh my!" Her mother wailed as she teetered over to her daughter with her father close behind. "Who is this grown little woman here?" Her mother joked as she embraced her daughter.

"Look at my little princess!" Her father praised. He opted out for a second as he gazed away and added to himself, "I can't believe she's at that age already."

"Daddy," Chelsea added sympathetically with a smile on her face. "I'm finally a big girl now, daddy."

"You sure are." He lifted up on his shoulder. "Now, how about we have some breakfast before you begin your big day, eh?"

Chelsea smiled and leaned against her father. Yeah, my last breakfast here…

The four of them—Chelsea, her parents and her favorite butler, Sebastian—enjoyed breakfast together as they discussed Chelsea's decision to begin training Pokémon.

"I can't wait to become a trainer!" She said after swallowing. "I can't stop thinking about how my first contest will be like! My Pokémon will look so elegant…"

"Oh, Miss!" Sebastian exclaimed as he stood abruptly. "It's time!"

"Really? Already?" She looked down at her breakfast; she'd barely touched it. "Um," she swallowed hard. "Okay, I guess that it's time to go…"

Her mother looked up with sad eyes. "Oh, already?"

"Let's see her off, dear." Her father said as he stood up.

They made their way to the front door. Her mother's tears finally spilled out of her eyes. "Sweetie! I'm going to miss you so much!"

"Same here, Princess." Her dad added in.

Chelsea wiped a tear from her eye with a smile on her face. "I'm going to miss you guys too!" She embraced her parents and then Sebastian. Thank-you so much for taking care of me!" She backed out the door a bit before giving a final wave. "Good-bye! See you soon!" She then spun around and took off running before anyone got to emotional.

"Take care!" She heard her mother call.

"You too!" She waved back as she ran to the Pokémon Lab.

By the time Chelsea made it to the Lab, she was completely exhausted. Having been treated like a princess all her life, working this hard was completely new to her. It took ever ounce of dedication she had not to go running back home to her family and stuffed animals. But once she reached the Pokémon Lab, however, she had no thought of returning anymore. Trainers bustled in and out; some were socializing and others were practicing. It may have been the most amazing thing she's seen up to this point.

It took a large amount of mental shoving to get her paralyzed legs to move, but eventually, Chelsea was making her way into the Lab. Pokémon were abundant in here; she noted how many were running around appearing untamed. She felt so overwhelmed in here; she didn't even know where to begin looking for the starter Pokémon.

"You look lost, can I help you?"

The closeness of the voice made her jump and turn around. She found herself face-to-chest with bearded man in a lab coat. "Oh, well I'm not a trainer."

"Not a trainer?" He leaned back and raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Not yet that is!" She stammered out nervously. "So… where do I get my starter?"

Smiled and ignored the question. "Oh! A new trainer, eh? Okay, my name is Professor Birch, and you are…"

"Sorry!" She blushed at realizing how rude she must have sounded, but she couldn't help being egger to get her starter Pokémon. "My name is Chelsea."

He let out a hearty laugh. "Well alright, Miss Chelsea, why don't you follow me to the back so I can help you pick out your Pokémon?"

"Yay!" Her legs wobbled in joy and anticipation the entire way to the starter area. You don't need to help me pick anything out! I want Torchic!

In the back area, she found another person waiting there. A blonde with braided pigtails, a plaid shirt, and jean skirt, stood in front of the selecting area. Chelsea felt discussed by her appearance. Plaid shirt? Really? She looks like a cow wrangler! With her nose high in the air, she approached the other girl and smiled condescendingly. "Hello, I'm Chelsea."

"Bernadette." The girl replied; it didn't seem like she fell for Chelsea's fake 'polite' greeting. As soon as Professor Birch stepped into the room, Bernadette dashed for the glass chamber in the center. "I want dis feller right hur!"

Chelsea snorted to herself; a farmer chick like her would probably choose an ugly looser Pokémon like Treecko!

"Torchic! Excellent choice!" Professor Birch said as her pressed a button on his computer. The Torchic in the glass chamber was gone and a Pokéball was materialized in his hand. He handed the Pokémon to Bernadette. "Congratulations, your first very own Pokémon!"

"Yeehaw!" She jumped ut the air and clicked her heels.

"What about you Chelsea? Which Pokémon do you want?"

Chelsea sniffled, she thought she was about to cry. This is not fair! She wanted Torchic! This looser farm girl got it for no reason! "I want Torchic too!"

Professor Birch raised his eyebrows and looked somewhat sympathetic. "I'm sorry, I can only hand out one Pokémon of each type per day, it the rules. You can come back earlier tomorrow and hopefully-"

Something inside of her snapped. She felt like biting his head off instead of crying now. "Today is my birthday! I am not going back home! I want the cutest Pokémon you got… NOW!" She stomped her foot for emphasis.

Even the Professor looked afraid for his life. "I-I'm sorry Miss! I'll get you the most adorable Pokémon I can find!" Professor Birch dashed out side to the exterior part of the lab. She folded her arms and smirked to herself. Getting whatever you want was pretty great.

"You spoiled little wound up hen!" Bernadette called from behind.

Chelsea didn't even bother to turn around. "I don't socialize with the service men." She shot back as she looked over her perfectly manicured nails.

The blood in Bernadette's veins boiled. "You would be slaughtered with the brunch where I came from wit dat prissy attitude of yours!"

This time she did turn around with a pleasant smirk on her face. "I'm not surprised to discover you were raised by savages."

Bernadette's face grew beat red from embarrassment and anger. "Why you…!" Her voice shook as she spoke.

"I'm back!" Professor Birch said panting. A pink figure was tucked underneath his arm. "I brought the cutest Pokémon in the Lab!"

Chelsea bounced and clapped. "Yay thank you so much!"

Professor Birch placed the animal on the floor and it slowly walked around, as if it knew everyone was admiring its beauty. "This is a Skitty. Do you like her?"

She nodded eagerly. "Yes! I love her!" Chelsea ran over and picked up the cat-like Pokémon. It yawned with boredom in her hands. "From now on, your name is Missy? Okay?"

"Skit-ty~"

Before she even knew what was going on, Chelsea was performing her own little 'Mission Accomplished' move sequence. She spun around slowly then jumped up and held up two fingers! "I got my first Pokémon!" She exclaimed. Wait… where had she seen that before? "Thank you so much Professor Birch!" Chelsea called as she hurried out the door.

"You're very welcome!" He shouted back. He doubted that she even heard him; she was already through the door before he could reply.

Chelsea sat down on a grassy area outside. Missy lay down. "Okay! So… what's your favorite thing to do?"

Missy yawned before answering. "Skit-ty~" She rolled over on her side.

She sighed feeling a little defeated. She didn't bother to do any research on a Skitty. She reached out to pet its head. Chelsea may not have known much about a Skitty but she did know about cats. Cats like being petted so she took the low purr sound it made as a some sort of symbol that it was enjoying it. "You're so cute Skitty!"

"Skitty!" She replied. She didn't yawn that time. Chelsea decided that a Skitty was a lot like her. They were both very cute and loved to be told so.

"How about I make you look even cuter?" Chelsea dug through her bag until she discovered what she was looking for. A huge pink and lace bow. She smiled to herself; only smart people kept accessories for any emergency. Lucky her, she was one of the smart ones. She carefully placed the bow on the yellow part of Missy's tail.

It took some adjusting to the new weight, but Missy seemed to appreciate the new item. She ran around in circles trying to catch her tail—making sure she looked adorable, Chelsea called it. When she was finished, Skitty lay back down on her stomach.

"We make a cute duo, don't you think?"

"Skit-ty~!"

Chelsea continued petting and praising her new Pokémon until she felt a dark shadow cover over her. She recognized the voice too easily.

"Well, well, well! If it ain't Twiddle Dum and Twiddle Doe!"

Chelsea mentally rolled her eyes at how badly Bernadette missed the name of the second character. "Please step back. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to stand close to people better than you? It makes you even uglier." She looked the girl up and down. "If that's even possible."

Bernadette growled and shouted. "That is it you annoying little glorified inchworm!" Chelsea rolled her eyes at Bernadette's pathetic southern insults. "I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!"

She looked pretty shocked sitting on the grass. Is this how Pokémon battles are suppose to start? She didn't know the rules and highly doubted that Bernadette did either. But she would look so much like a coward backing down from a challenge to her rival. Yes, rival. Chelsea had finally met her competition.

"Sure." She said nonchalantly as she stood a smoothed out her dress. She took a few steps back and placed her hands on her hips. "Alright. It seems like you really want to embarrass yourself today. How rude would I be if I didn't play along?" Skitty gracefully leaped over to her master's side.

Bernadette acted as if she hadn't heard what Chelsea just said. She searched for the pocket on her overall. When she removed her hand, a miniature Pokéball materialized. She pressed the button to enlarge it. Then she twirled around as she taunted. "Let me show you how we do it down south!" With all her strength, she threw the Pokéball and after a red light flashed, Torchic became part of the scene.

Chelsea just rolled her eyes at the performance. "You can do it, Missy!" She cheered as her own Pokémon walked into the battle area.

"Torchic! Use flamethrower!"

"Chic-chic!" The chick took an insanely deep amount of air in. She blew out quickly expecting flames to burst out of its mouth, but instead there was only a puff of smoke.

"Huh?" Bernadette said in confusion.

"So it's true," Chelsea began as she flipped her bangs. "Hillbillies can't read."

"And wats dat sa pose ta mean?"

"It means, Billy, that you obviously didn't read the handbook. You Pokémon didn't come with the ability to learn special type moves. You have to teach it to them." She winked at Missy. "Now, Missy! Tail whip!"

The kitten Pokémon ran up to Torchic and gave the chick a good few whacks with the thick part of its tail before performing a back flip to avoid the bird's retaliation attack.

"Um, use Growl!" Bernadette ordered hesitantly.

Torchic produced an ear piercing screeching sound that caused Missy to loose focus. Catching the other off guard, Torchic preformed a scratch attack on Missy.

"Sit-ty~!" She complained in pain.

"You can do it Missy!" Chelsea cheered from the sidelines. "Use tackle!"

"Skit, skit, ski-ty!" She said as she ran across the field then slammed against her prey. Torchic seemed to have taken serious damage this time.

Upon hearing the order from her master, Torchic rolled out from underneath Missy and attempted to scratch her a second time. Missy quickly rolled fast enough to avoid the scratch.

"Give her another tackle, Missy!"

This time, she used her position to her advantage and rammed into Torchic from the side. Torchic wobbled a bit. It took a lot of encouragement from Bernadette for the Pokémon to get back on its feet.

"Go for another growl, Torchic!"

"Chic chic chic!" The bird flapped its small wings as it again let out a screeching growl. Missy could do anything to prevent from being paralyzed as she was subjected to the same sneak attack as earlier.

Chelsea commented to herself on how repetitive Pokémon battles with new Pokémon could be. "Tackle, Missy!"

This time when Missy rammed into the chick, it wobbled backwards and fell flat on its back.

"Torchic!" Bernadette cried in a worried voice as she rushed over to her Pokémon's side whose eyes were in swirls. She picked her Pokémon into her arms and narrowed her eyes at Chelsea. "You're paying for the hospital bills!"

She snorted to herself. Did this girl not know that Pokémon Centers are free? "No way Barney. You called on this battle."

The blond let out a growl that turned into a frustrated scream as she stomped off. "You haven't seen the last of me, Chelsea!"

"Bummer." Chelsea smirked in reply. She directed her attention to Missy now who looked fatigued as well. "What a first battle, huh?"

"Ski~"

It finally hit her. That was her first battle… Chelsea had really just won her first ever Pokémon battle. A wide smile spread across her face. If this was just the first, her brain could barely even fathom what her future would be like.

Watch out Pokémon World! Chelsea has arrived!
OMG~ Was the reason you guys never submitted this because I never made a folder? Why didn't anyone tell me? ;_;
I posted it so late because I wanted to see if anyone else was going to do it.

But don't worry about that because... YOU ALL PASS! :iconexcitedplz:
Well not everybody, you know if you passed or not
I mean, this is only the first round, it's going to take a lot more to get this group into real gear. I'm totally satisfied with the way round one turned out.

If you want to do this anyway, I'll add it to the "Adventures" list when Round 2 starts for half the points. You get 25 points for completing it.

Why is it that every time I write a story for a group, I always unintentionally create another OC?
(Remember :iconwonderland-academy: and the Potato-Rapist? XD)

Chelsea is a self centered snotty brat. I don't know how people put up with her~ XD She's so spoiled!

And that's all I have to say!
